GPS Scottoiler Screens Comms Electrics

Here are a number of modifications which have been made to my ST.

Thanks to Martin <Howlin' Dawg> for his assistance locating the switches.

Since I occasionally forget to cancel my indicator I decided to fit a DatatoKol Turn Alert.  In this mounting position it is clearly audible below 50mph when the rider is wearing earplugs.

Since the OEM horn sounds rather timid I fitted a 3rd party horn. The only location I found suitable was to attach it to the base of the instrument (cockpit) sub-frame with a metal strip bent at a right angle.

fusebox.jpg (119745 bytes) Secondary fusebox for heated clothing, Autocom and GPS.
right_switches.jpg (72584 bytes) Right side switches DPST (GPS and Autocom).  These switches that match the OEM heated grip switch are available from The Electrical Connection. They also supply a bezel to surround groups of switches.
left_switches.jpg (59333 bytes) Left side switches (Heated Grips [OEM] and Heated Clothing DPDT [forward -his; backwards - his and her's]).  The use of a DPDT switch was partly governed by the desire to match the SPDT of the OEM heated grip switch.
cockpit_view.jpg (102585 bytes) Cockpit view - the Datatool Turn Alert LED can be seen between the fuel and temperature gauge.
heated_clothing_socket.jpg (91647 bytes) Rider's heated clothing socket again available from The Electrical Connection.
heated_clothing_socket_rear.jpg (60677 bytes) Pillion's heated clothing socket with (supplied) cover. Also shows the best (IMHO) position for the pillion's Autocom socket.
